2nd Sept it Hurts

I love Alexis Petridis. Guardian journo and presenter of the rather ace Music Weekly. Today, he reviews Hurts’ album.

Hurts, for the ill-informed are a Mancunian pop duo, in the 80’s stylised-but-fullofheart ilk. I’ve followed their press campaign for the last few months and loved it. There was a distinct lack of information: a joy in today’s I-know-what-you-had-for-breakfast info fest of the norm.

Look how gloriously shiny and dark this is:

…not a great song, though.

When I finally heard an interview, I realised that the previous year of limited press was for the best. Why? Well, just watch this. Shame.
