I came to LCD pretty late in the day, and it was ‘Someone Great’ which caught my ear… then I was hooked.
Last years’ ‘This is Happening’ was ace. James Murphy being a certain age inspired any musician over the age of thirty to make music. A man of taste , he honed every influence into these amazing records…. ‘bad’ mixes that made me re approach my own mixes, these records are a benchmark for me.
I never saw them live and now, never will, but as a man of his word, that’s OK.
