An unusual one, this as it started off as a day job cross Uni collaboration between Confetti (what was, and now NTU) and Whistling Woods Uni students in Mumbai. The idea was to have all students collaborating: adapting to different time zones, file sharing across DAWs. I made assumptions that all I’d need to do was put them in groups with complementary skills, then they’d sort themselves out. God I was wrong.

It took an age to get started, and in the end I had to grab them and finish the tracks….arranging, additional programming/production, mix and master: that said, they all learned about a new income stream and what not to do in cross continent collaboratative situations. I’d do it again for sure….and love the fact there’s an authentic EP that’s come out of it…and it leans into my love of giving students a leg up into the real world of work
